Meghan Markle Inspired Mothers Around The Globe When She Admitted She Was Not Okay

Every woman has her moment of vulnerability when she becomes a mom, and just because one is royalty does not exempt her from the challenges of motherhood. Take the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle as an example.
In an interview with ITV News, she admitted she has faced struggles as a new parent. “Look, any woman, especially when they're pregnant — you're really vulnerable, So that was made really challenging. And then, when you have a newborn, you know?”
“And especially as a woman, it’s really a lot. So, you add this on top just trying to be a new mom or tying to be a newlywed,” she added.

Before delivering her son, Archie, five months ago, Meghan faced many responsibilities and heightened expectations upon marrying Prince Harry. She told the interviewer she appreciated that he asked how she was doing.
“Also thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m okay but it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.”

Meghan’s honesty — “It’s okay to not be okay” — gained support and gave encouragement to mothers around the globe.
“Every mother deserves support, care and consideration.”
“Check in with everyone you love, whether or not they show it because some people don’t show the immense pain they’re in.”
