Moms, This Audio Story Claims It Can Make You Fall Asleep. Listen!Plus, other sleep-inducing products you might want to consider adding to your bedtime routine
Moms need to wake up refreshed to take on the new (long and at times grueling) day ahead! That means a lot of energy and for most of us, we recharge with a good sleep. So, spending minutes or even a few hours tossing and turning in bed is frustrating and exhausting.
If you’re one of the many who can’t seem to catch those Zs at night, there’s a new sleep aid people are raving about that you should try. Lay in bed, plug in a pair of earphones, and listen to Stephen Fry, a British actor known for his honey voice and the narrator for all seven Harry Potter audio books, tell you the short story, “Blue Gold,” by Phoebe Smith.

We’ve told you about children’s books specially designed to put kids to sleep. This one is for the grown-ups. The audio book was created by Calm.com, a meditation app, and is intended to be used with their Sleep Mist, a mixture of essential oil scents. But Blue Gold alone, it seems, is already enough drift people off to sleep judging by fans from Twitter. For those whom meditation has never worked, this may be the next best thing.
We’re honored to have Stephen Fry, the narrator of all 7 Harry Potter books, read Calm’s Sleep Story, Blue Gold, in his soothing and distinctive voice. The only thing better, in our humble opinion, is pairing this masterful Sleep Story with Sleep Mist. The dreamy combination of storytelling, lavender, chamomile, frankincense and clary sage will make you feel as if you are resting in the world famous lavender fields of Provence.
