Sunshine Cruz's Quarantine Hobby Is Crocheting! 'My Stress Reliever'

If you’ve picked up a new hobby or pastime during this pandemic, you can call yourself lucky! Not only does it mean that you have the time and resources to spare, but you’ve found a fun, productive way to spend your days at home.

Actress Sunshine Cruz is no different. The mom of 3 has taken up crocheting as her new quarantine hobby while staying at home, and she’s gotten good at it!

She first posted about the hobby on July 28, 2021. “My new hobby and stress reliever. I’ve made tops for my princesses. Trying to be productive even at home,” Sunshine wrote on Instagram.

More than a month later, it looks like Sunshine has gotten so good at crocheting! Not only does she wear her creations, but she's also made cropped tops for her teen daughters, Angelina, Sam, and Chesca. Her partner Macky Mathay's daughter, Charlie, also received one, and the girls have been modeling the pieces with Sunshine posting it on her social media accounts.

What's fun about Sunshine's crochet creations is that it's not the usual pieces that you've probably seen from your lola or from local tourist shops. The fashionable pieces suit her daughters' personal styles and are on-trend.

Sunshine’s daughter Angelina rocks this salmon number with low-rise jeans, a throwback to Y2K fashion! She proudly showed it off on Instagram writing, “My mom knows how to crochet.”

Shine welcomed September by finishing a new coffee-colored halter top before she goes off for another acting project.

Here’s to hoping she brought her crocheting needles and yarn so we can see if she makes her creations for her fellow actors while on set!
