Metro Manila is always teeming with new restaurants, but the question is which ones have good food that kids will actually eat. So here's our list of a few favorites--four that have always proven reliable as great dining spots for the entire brood and two restos where not just the food will become a surefire favorite with the kids.
Caruso Ristorante Italiano
This Italian restaurant has been around for decades, but its obscure location makes it easy to miss. But once you discover this hidden gem, it’s a delicious secret you want to share with fellow moms. Sundays are family fun days, and Caruso offers kiddie pizzas in the shape of a heart, a duck, Peppa Pig, and Winnie the Pooh. There is a lot of hearty pasta dishes and other flavorful Italian fare for the rest of the family. Caruso Ristorante Italiano is at 210 Nicanor Garcia Street, Makati City. Ichiba Japanese Market
Mimicking Japan’s top food markets, Ichiba Japanese Market is the perfect gateway Japanese restaurant for your little ones who haven’t had too much experience with Japanese food. The restaurant is lined with different food stations (like tempura, ramen, gyoza, etc), a fresh seafood market menu, and an area where you and the kids can "catch" fish. They get 30 minutes to reel something in and when they do, they can have their catch cooked any way they want. Ichiba Japanese Market is at 2/F Newport Mall, Resorts World, Pasay City. Project Pie
Nothing screams “kid-friendly” more than pizza, and at Project Pie, you’re in full control. The kids will feel like they’re having their very own pizza party—from creating the crust, to choosing their favorite pizza toppings, right down to watching their masterpiece bake in the oven. The sky’s the limit at this pizza joint, and you’ll love creating your own pies just as much as the kids. For a list of all locations, visit www.facebook.com/projectpiephilippines.Stacy’s
Its charming interiors and delicious comfort food make Stacy’s an easy favorite for kids and adults alike. While waiting for your meal, the kids can play with toys like Tic-Tac-Toe on the table or at the “garden” or whet their appetites with a few handfuls of Stacy’s tasty (free!) popcorn. The old-school soda shop vibe has “kid-friendly” written all over it. Add for-kids-only choices like the Potato Chip Fried Chix and the Little Miss Stacy's meals that come with a scoop of ice cream, plus indulgent milkshakes available for all kids-at-heart, and it's easy to see why many families love this place. Stacy’s is at Capitol Greenstreet, Capitol Hills, Quezon City (call 952-6843) and Rizal Drive, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City (call 555-0140).ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
