Wow! This Fun Experience Will Teach Kids All About Bananas
Fun, banana-mazing activities await children here!CREATED WITH NUTRIASIA
As kids continue to stay and study at home, moms and dads take it upon themselves to find fun yet educational activities they can enjoy as a family to keep things interesting.
The key is to find activities aligned with your children’s interests. If they love fruits, videos, and games, make the most of their time online by introducing them to NutriAsia’s first-ever learning platform, NutriAsia Homeschool. With a thrust of Masarap Matuto, Masaya Mag-aral, the digital hub offers a selection of learning materials all about beloved Filipino fruits, made to spark curiosity in every child.
NutriAsia Homeschool’s first offering: bananas!
In the Banana 101 module, available at the NutriAsia Homeschool website, Musa, your friendly banana guide and a member of The Catsup Museum’s Saging Squad, helps kids learn more about the ubiquitous yellow fruit by guiding them through six interactive games. For each correct answer, a corresponding banana trivia is revealed, so learning is made more fun:
Types of banana, a memory game that asks kids to remember the different kinds of bananas available locally.
Parts of the banana plant, which lets kids match the different parts of the banana plant to a silhouette of the whole plant.
Banana plant life cycle, which teaches children about the different stages of a banana’s growth through a visual game.
History of banana, which lets kids match the different kinds of bananas to their respective silhouettes while giving fun facts about the fruit.
Farm to table, a tile game about the steps in processing banana fruits into products to their correct places.
The good stuff in a banana, which allows kids to drag an icon of a banana (and watch it grow into a full hand!) to catch falling icons that represent the different parts of the body that benefit from vitamins and minerals found in the fruit.
After completing the module, each child will receive a certificate for their banana-mazing efforts, just like this:
Also available on the website is a virtual tour of The Catsup Museum, created by NutriAsia in partnership with the Mind Museum. The video tour offers a 360° view of the interactive exhibits of the museum.
Meanwhile, more modules on nutrition and other Filipino fruits can also be found on the Homeschool platform, such as How to be #MaPAPAgana and #MaPAPAgalaw at Home facilitated by PAPA Catsup, and Araling PINASaya by Locally.
Give your kids a fruitful and banana-mazing learning experience by logging onto and enjoying the Banana 101 module at NutriAsia Homeschool today! While you’re there, don't forget to go on a virtual tour of The Catsup Museum and browse the page for more fun, fruity activities.
