Holiday Mode On! Where To See The Brightest Christmas Displays In Metro Manila

You better watch out, you better not pout because places around the metro have already decked the halls 'tis holiday season!

With the looser quarantine restrictions (at least until December 15, 2021), more areas in Metro Manila are preparing to welcome families looking to take in the Christmas cheer.

Whether you're looking for an Instagrammable spot where you can take the perfect Holiday picture with the whole family or just want to bask in the magical feeling brought by a thousand twinkling lights and giant Christmas trees, these places are worth the visit. Given of course that you'll keep in mind the basic safety precautions against COVID-19.

Christmas light displays in Metro Manila

We've tracked down some of the brightest and most awe-inspiring Christmas displays you can visit around the capital region.

1. Araneta City

Keeping the annual tradition, Araneta City has already lit up its giant Christmas tree. You can also take pictures of the life-sized "belen" or nativity scene at the Farmers Market. If you're looking to buy Christmas decorations, you don't need to go far as well because Araneta City has dedicated a “Christmas Parolan" where you can score ornaments to add to your Holiday collection.

2. Bonifacio High Street

There's not just one, not two, but several Christmas trees on display at the Bonifacio High Street in Bonifacio Global City. They really went all out this year with Christmas displays that will make you feel like you’re in a Christmas village. There are also a lot of places nearby where your family can enjoy al fresco dining.

3. Eastwood City

Eastwood City’s Christmas theme for this year is “Whimsical Christmas” and you will truly see why once you visit the place. Art sculptures created by world-renowned Filipino contemporary artist-designer Leeroy New also await visitors.

4. Luneta Park

This year, Luneta's main Christmas attraction is a golden giant Christmas tree. Walking towards the bright tree, visitors will be welcomed by illuminated angel statues.

5. Ayala Triangle Gardens

A trip along Ayala Avenue in Makati will definitely get you in the holiday spirit. If you can’t visit Ayala Triangle Gardens in person, you can still enjoy their Festival of Lights virtually by watching it here.

6. City Of Dreams Manila

City of Dreams (COD) Manila's Christmas tree has been spreading the holiday cheer as early as the first week of November! A life-size Santa Claus guards the well-decorated tree along with eye-catching giant gift boxes. While you're in the area, you might also want to treat the kids with some activity time at COD's DreamPlay.

7. Manila Marriott Hotel

Manila Marriott Hotel went for a Paskong Pinoy theme with its Christmas tree filled with rattan-made decorations and instead of a gingerbread house, it has a gingerbread jeepney. (Well, that's new!)

8. Okada Manila

Okada Manila is taking the festive season seriously and opted to go for gold, white, and silver-colored ornaments to dress up its giant Christmas tree.

9. SM Mall Of Asia

SM Mall of Asia has their own version of a Christmas Garden with their 60 feet tall Christmas tree as the centerpiece! Aside from the tall tree, visitors can feast their eyes on the different Holiday-themed displays like life-size nutcrackers and bear statues dressed up in Christmas outfits.

10. Shangri-La Plaza

An over-the-top Christmas tree is also on display inside the Shangri-la Plaza. It's so tall that the big white star at the top of it almost reaches the mall's top floor!
