Make an Edible Christmas Decoration Like This Gingerbread House! Here’s a Christmas decoration your kids can munch on come Christmas eve!
‘Tis the season for spending time with the family! And if you're looking to make memorable moments with the kids, we'd like to recommend gingerbread house-making activity hosted by Holiday Inn & Suites in Makati. We got a preview and here's what you can expect.
We were given our long spacious table to work on that’s big enough for a family of three or four (the whole family can get in the action0. There were aprons for everyone, and we like the fact it had adjustable straps so no need to worry about the size for your kids.
Each participant gets gingerbread panels composed of two sides of the house, the back panel, and the front with the door and windows. You will also get two big slabs that will serve as the roof. There is plenty of icing in piping bags, which you will use to put the parts together, and loads of decorations to spruce up your house.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Pastry Chef Mike Sison will be there to guide you and your family so you can put together your own edible gingerbread house. And there will be staff to supervise and help you and the kids in case you need assistance to hold the pieces together while the kids set or figure out how to stick the little candy Santa on the roof!
If you’ve been doing a little bit of baking that involves frosting cakes or cupcakes with your kids at home, that will come in handy when decorating the gingerbread house and lining the edges with icing. But if you’re a baking newbie with little or zero experience in the kitchen, don’t be intimidated because even little ones can do it by themselves. Yes, they will have fun squeezing the squishy pipe and creating shapes out of the icing, which is so delicious (yes, we ate some while working on the gingerbread house).
They also provide gingerbread biscuits and hot choco while you work! Enough said.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
