  • The South of Manila is famous for many things (besides the perennially slow traffic): the original "Dampa" in Parañaque, the centuries-old churches in Las Pinas, cozy hangout spots and amazing eats in Paranaque, and malls that stretch out for miles and miles in Pasay and Muntinlupa.

With Metro Manila becoming so densely populated, one sometimes wishes to unwind where there are wide, green spaces, fresh(er) air, and an almost laid-back vibe — exactly what the South has to offer. But you don't have to go all the way to Tagaytay and Laguna to experience these — this mall along Daang Hari, Las Piñas, already well-loved by Southerners, is yet to be discovered by many. Check out these establishments unique to this place:

    The Cheesecake Fairy

This homegrown brand offers possibly the widest range of cheesecake varieties in the metro, from Red Velvet, Nutella, Apple Crumble, and the bestselling Salted Caramel, to local favorites like Buko Pandan and Ube Macapuno. They also make their cupcakes, bars, bread and pastries from scratch every day!

Completing the whimsical experience at this enchanted forest-themed cafe is a little sprinkling of fairy dust (an edible glitter imported from the U.S.). At the Cheesecake Fairy, they'll serve your slice of cake or scoop of ice cream (yes, they have them too!) with some of this "magical" stuff. The kids and kids-at-heart will surely love it!

The fully-enclosed, air-conditioned atrium is the perfect place for you when you want to stay indoors while being outdoors. Makes sense? Of course. It's a garden/park within the confines of the mall, so young kids who wish to run around and play can do so, and their parents can sit on the "grass" while keeping an eye on them, all within a dome that keeps the temperature comfortably cool.

The Piazza, on the other hand, offers more dining options and is reminiscent of The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and in Macau and their handpainted ceilings.
