Join Smart Parenting’s workshop!

Calling all parents! We've got another workshop just for you, and this time the spotlight is on your tots! Smart Parenting's Mom Workshop: Raising Toddlers will have expert talks on tantrums, toddler hygiene, raising kids in a digital age, family finances tips and tricks, and more. Expect food, freebies and raffle prizes too. It's happening this Saturday, March 18, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Makati Diamond Residences. Participation is free but registration is required (click here). We'll be seeing you there, right? 


Spend a day at a fair

Pop Up Kids has arranged a weekend just for families. Summersault is a summer-themed event for kids and parents. There will be booths with the coolest brands, a line-up of free travel-themed activities for the kids to enjoy, food stalls offering scrumptious bites and more. The event is happening this Saturday and Sunday, March 18 to 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at The Rockwell Club, Amorsolo Drive, Makati. 


Watch a movie

 
We know you and the kids have been waiting for this. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is showing in theaters this weekend! Join Belle, the Beast, the castle’s staffers-turned-objects and dynamic duo of Gaston and Le Fou as they tell a tale as old as time. 


Attend parenting workshops

The Parenting Emporium has a couple of workshops for parents this weekend. Event place is 29 1st St., New Manila, Quezon City and you can register for any of the workshops via 0917-811-0821.

First up is Planning Your Day with Baby where Family Life and Development expert Tanya Franco Velasco will be discussing about the activities you and your little one can do together. The workshop is happening on March 18, 3 to 5 p.m. Participation fee is P350.

On Sunday, there's the ABCs of Newborn Care where you get to learn baby basics with other parents. Topics covered include swaddling, carrying, burping, bathing and more. The workshop is happening on March 19, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Participation fee is P350. 


Make a doll for your little one

Make something your child will treasure and love throughout her childhood. Sew her a doll of her own! Craft MNL's Doll-making workshop will walk you through the process and teach you how to make your own soft doll. The workshop will be facilitated by Jacklyn Zapatos, dollmaker at Handmade by Mom. Catch it this Sunday, March 19, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Craft MNL workshop space, 926 Pasay Road Condominium (Pamana-Languages Building), Makati. Participation fee is P1,000 inclusive of materials. Learn how you can earn from home

Looking to stay at home with your baby while still earning for the family? Join Manila Workshops' Home-Based 101 workshop where work-from-home moms Jane Maghanoy and Janice Sabitsana talk about ways you can get started on a setting up a home-based business, becoming a virtual assistant or creating income-generating blog. The workshop is happening this Saturday, March 18, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Ortigas Foundation Library, Ortigas Building, Pasig City. Participation fee is P2,500. Register here. 


Listen to stories

Fully Booked, together with Make Believe Productions, is bringing storybooks to life with Storytelling Sessions: Tale as Old as Time. It's happening this Sunday, March 19, starting at 2 p.m., at Fully Booked Bonifacio High Street, Taguig. Stories to be read include Beauty and the Beast and The Velveteen Rabbit. 


Run!

Get moving with the kids and pups this weekend and join Pet Express’ Doggie Run 2017. Furry friend has short legs? It’s okay, stroll through the 1.5k route. There’s also 3k and 5k categories for dogs and humans who like to feel the wind while they run. The event is happening this Saturday, March 18, 5:30 a.m., at SM Mall of Asia, Pasay. Registration fee is P450 for humans and P600 for dogs. Part of the proceeds are donated to the Philippine Animal Welfare Society. Register through your nearest Pet Express branch.
