Learn about child disciplining and rearing
The Learning Basket has two workshops for you this weekend, parents.
First, there's the Positive Discipline workshop that aims to help parents find better methods of disciplining their children. The workshop will discuss why children misbehave, why parents react the way they do to misbehavior and how parents can find long term solutions to usual boiling points. It's happening this Saturday, Nov. 19, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at The Parenting Emporium, Quezon City.
Then there's Montessori at Home. Here you'll learn how to raise your child to become a competent and independent adult through the Montessori philosophy. The workshop, for parents with kids ages 2 to 6 years old, is happening this Saturday, Nov. 19, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at The Parenting Emporium, Quezon City. Participation fee is P600 inclusive of snacks.

Register the whole family for a fun run
Get fit, have fun and help out at the McDonald's Stripes Run 2016. Proceeds of the run will go to Ronald McDonald Read to Learn, a flagship program of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philippinesm, in partnership with the Department of Education. Every member of the family, (even bunso!) is invited to join the 1K, 3K, 5K and 10K races. The event is happening on Nov. 26 at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig but you only have until Nov. 24 to register so do it now! Register online or through selected McDonald's branches. Hangout with the Superdudes
Love Superdudes? Here's your chance to hangout with the super gang! Superdude Session: Superheroes Workshop is creative arts workshop with the Superdudes for superkids, expect singing, dancing and more! The event is happening this Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Dusit Thani Manila, Makati. Ticket prices start at P1,850 per child-adult pair. Get them here.

You don't have to go far to play with snow! SM Storyland at SM Center Valenzuela have set up a Snow Playgound for ice-curious kiddies. Find it at the Event Center from now until Dec. 31.
Watch a musical
Based on the popular children’s novel of the same name written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Repertory Philippines brings to the stage A Little Princess, a grand musical production for the whole family. Leading the cast are Jillian Ita-as and Maria Gabriela Gil Padilla as Sara Crewe, a young girl who, from being mistreated and abused in a boarding school, finds magic and wonder in other people and herself.
