Philippine Homeschooling Conference: Homeschool to the Future, organized by the Homeschool Association of the Philippine Islands, is happening this Saturday, Oct. 7, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Treston International College, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Here are the topics: Parenting in the technological age by Sen. Francis Pangilinan; empowering the youth through unconventional education by Efren Penaflorida Jr.; and discovering a homeschooler's passion by Marissa Leinart. Embrace Autism Philippines has invited Raun K. Kaufman, the senior teacher for The Son-Rise Program at The Autism Treatment Center of America, to discuss strategies and tools parents can utilize to better understand and support a child with autism.
Kaufman's lecture, titled Autism Help, will be held in three cities in the Philippines. There's one happening this Sunday, Oct. 8, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Insular Life Corporate Centre, Muntinlupa City.
