We’re joining Homepossible: Homegrown this weekend! Along with five other Summit Media brands, we’ll be donning our best hats in the hopes of inspiring you with the great home ideas. Expect a homey play area set-up that serves as our photo booth, a mock house you can explore from Real Living and Cosmopolitan, succulent activities from Entrepreneur.com.ph, party styling tips from Good Housekeeping Philippines, cooking demo from Yummy, on-hand property consultants from Avida and much more. Join a money workshop for moms

We’ve prepared a financial workshop just for you! Learn how to effectively manage your hard-earned money at our Money Strategies for Smart Moms. There will be talks from our experts Aya Laraya from Pesos and Sense and Rose Fres Fausto, a financial literacy advocate, about raising money smart kids, financing your first home and investment basics you need to know. The event is happening on Oct. 22, Saturday, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Café 1771, Ortigas Center, Pasig. Only 40 seats are available so hurry! Participation is free, but registration is a must. Join a workshop just for pregnant moms

Expecting a new addition to the family soon? We’ve got just the thing for you: The Smart Moms Birth and Baby Workshop! All pregnant moms are invited to spend a day with us as we learn about pregnancy and taking care of a newborn from a group of experts we handpicked ourselves. Topics covered on workshop day will include breastfeeding, safe and sound sleep for mom and baby, Lamaze basics, and infant care. There will be games and raffle prizes, too! The event is happening on Oct. 23, Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Discovery Suites, Pasig City. Participation is free but registration is a must. Click here to reserve a seat. 

Enjoy a whole day of fun with the family

Bond with the kids at SM Center Las Piñas' Family Fun Day! There will be lots of interactive activities to join like cake decorating, face painting, arts and crafts and more. There's will even be a music workshop and a robotics booth! The event is happening this Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and 9, 2 p.m. onwards at SM Center Las Piñas. Registration starts at 10 a.m. 


Go to an art exhibit

Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan is celebrating its 25th anniversary with Tinker Tales, an art exhibit featuring over a hundred all new illustrations! The artworks are based on stories written by children so a lot are about magical lands. This Saturday, they're also having a Kiddie Arts & Crafts Party from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The exhibit runs from Sept. 12 to Oct 16 at the Ayala Museum, Makati City. Admission ticket is at P150. Watch a movie



Does your kid know how to play patintero? Whether or not she does, be sure to take her along to watch Patintero: Ang Alamat ni Meng Patalo. It’s about a bunch of misfits or “mga patalo” who team up together to join their town's patintero competition to prove that determination and heart always will take you farther than anyone else. Hopefully that’s true for patintero too. Directed by Mihk Vergara, catch the quirky and funny film in cinemas this weekend.


Attend The Learning Basket’s workshops

The Leaning Basket is hosting two workshops this weekend. First up is You are Your Child’s First and Best Teacher which aims to help parents gain confidence and find inspiration in their roles as teacher to their little ones.  Parents of children ages 0 to 3 are invited to join on Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Parenting Emporium, Quezon City. Working mom? Learn how to best maximize the few hours (or even minutes) of play and learning a day you have with your child at The Hands On Working Mom. You’ll get to take home practical tips from working moms who have gone through -- and are going through -- the exact same thing as you. Observe the stars up close

TriNoma is celebrating International Observe the Moon Night with a free telescope viewing! The Manila Street Astronomers will be setting up a giant telescope at the TriNoma Park and everyone is invited a peak at the cosmos. They say there’s going to be three meteor showers that night too. The event is happening this Saturday, Oct. 8 at TriNoma Mall, Quezon City.
