Intramuros Is Ready For Christmas! The Walled City Is All Lit Up
  • Intramuros in Manila, with its streets seeming to be frozen in time, is a popular spot for photographers. Just passing through its cobblestone streets, ruins of the forts and walls, and Spanish-era buildings, you can easily have picture-perfect subjects for your next photo series.

The Walled City, however, ups the ante by adding lamp posts and lights hanging from the trees. The result is the spacious Plaza Moriones, the massive façade of Manila Cathedral, Plaza Roma with the Book Stop, and Burgos Drive are brighter than ever when you want to drop by the evening.

A colorful rendition of the Nativity is put up near the Juan Luna Monument as part of Intramuros' Yuletide celebration. Plaza Sto. Tomas, which was cleared of street vendors in August, also has new lights installed. The Intramuros Adminstration is set to maintain these lighting fixtures even after the holidays.
