Pasyalan Time! 4 Fab Farms To Visit Because Nature Is The Best PlaygroundLet your kids know what it is like to play in wide-open spaces through these pasyalan-farmsby Din Real Bautista .
I grew up in the province. The sound of the rooster, the sight of large fields, fresh air — all of them were part of my childhood, and I loved it.
I miss it a lot now that I am a mom with a toddler living in the city. I crave the fresh air and the wide-open spaces where my child can run free and do grounding. I believe children learn so much just by observing and exploring.

Pasyalan sa Antipolo, Batangas, Pampanga, at Tanay
I don’t think my daughter's childhood will be complete if I only bring her to indoor playgrounds, the mall, school, and the like. So I was glad to find four "pasyalans" that are farms near Metro Manila. These are good for relaxation and perfect for nature family bonding. The best part: it's affordable.
Pili Paninap Farms Resort and Campground

The property, which has been family-owned since 1978, was initially planned to be an agricultural farm that focused on pili production, hence the name Pili Paninap — pili for the Bicol native nut and paninap for the Kapampangan word for dream.
The owners have a large extended family and friends, and they would always invite them to come over to relax and eat. Over time, guest rooms became lodges, so more people could be accommodated and have a pleasant stay. And in 2012, with encouragement from friends, they opened it to the public.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The farm is situated closely to the Sampaloc river, which has become an added attraction for guests to enjoy its knee-high water. For families who want to really go swimming, they can follow the river and hike upstream for about 15 minutes and enjoy a deeper and wider portion of the river.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
You can bring your pets, by the way, although the farm has a host of animals like deer, ducks, pigs, and horses (kids can go horseback riding). Guests can also do bonfire and stargazing and play badminton and frisbee.
The guest lodges don’t have air conditioning, but it is well-ventilated and large enough to be comfortable. For an overnight stay, a group of up to five people can expect to pay Php2,500 for the room plus food. For a full board of three meals, it’s about Php1,075 per person.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
