McDonald's is taking us Millennial and Gen X parents on a trip down memory lane with a retro collection of Happy Meal toys. The latest miniature toy versions of some of the brand's best-known products and equipment may remind you of summers spent as part of the McDonald's Kiddie Crew, or bring you back to a simpler time when your P100 meant so much more than it does today. (Thanks, inflation.)
At the very least, it's a great toy collection to play with the kids. Unlike other novelties from the '90s, what's interesting about these Happy Meal toys is that they depict equipment that isn't actually out of date. The drive-thru order microphone and cash register are in classic form, just like much of the other items. Some things, it turns out, don't change!
These happy meal toys from McDonald's are made for your inner child:
Called the Play McDonald’s Happy Meal collection, McDonalds' new line of Happy Meal toys features shrunken-down versions of figures that you'll recognize from their dine-in and drive-thru ops. Choose from the eight toys available, or collect them all:
You can get hold of these toys by ordering any of McDonald's Happy Meal options, which include a toy with your main dish of choice: 1-piece Chicken McDo (P167), 4-piece Chicken McNuggets (P162), McSpaghetti (P145), Cheesy Burger (P151), and Burger McDo (P134).
