Shop for your parenting essentials

This weekend, don’t forget to catch Shop ‘til you POP! 2.0, an annual event held by M.O.M.s (Mashup of Entrepreneurs), a group of seven mompreneurs. Shop for highly-recommended products and services from a diverse set of brands. Avail of free haircuts for kids and dads, complimentary makeovers, play areas, and free massages.

Attendees of the event also get the chance to participate in exciting raffle draws where you can win incredible products like a stroller from Looping Squizz, a UV sterilizer from Ecomom, a Wink binder from Urban Essentials, lactation gift boxes from Mommy Treats, and Babyleaf diapers from The Nest APH.

This year, M.O.M.s will make a donation to Estela Ty, a breast cancer patient, under the names of the first three shoppers to spend a minimum of Php20,000. The funds collected will go to the beneficiary’s chemotherapy and medical expenses. Meanwhile, the first 100 shoppers to spend a minimum of Php15,000 will get a loot bag filled with amazing treats from the different vendors at the event.

Entrance to the event is free, but note that you will need to register ahead of the event. Only one registration is required per family. Registered attendees also get the chance to win in the raffle draws.

Watch Pinoy films

If movie-watching is something you and your family enjoy doing on weekends, check out the incredible film selections of Gawad Alternatibo 2019. Screening will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ (CCP) Tanghalang Manuel Conde. The films are divided into four categories (Documentary, Experimental, Animation, and Short Feature) and will be screened from August 3 to 5.

Entrance to the screenings are free, but seats are provided on a first-come-first-served basis. Here is the schedule of screenings per category:

• Animation: August 3, 12:45 p.m.
• Experimental: August 3, 6:15 p.m.
• Documentary: August 4, 12:45 p.m.
• Short Feature Program A: August 3, 10 a.m.
• Short Feature Program B: August 4, 10 a.m.
• Short Feature Program C: August 3, 3:30 p.m.
• Short Feature Program D: August 5, 12:45 p.m.
