Smart Parenting Masterclass

Learn more about why play is so important in every child’s life at the next Smart Parenting Masterclass x Nido 3+ Leg 4 on Saturday, December 7, 2019. With the theme “PLAY: Your Child’s Path to Becoming Brilliant,” the session will touch on three topics to be led by some notable experts:

• The Power of Play in Your Child’s First Three Years (Speaker: Bloss Villafuerte, LPT)
• Your Child’s First School: Will It Be Play School, Nursery, or Preschool? (Speaker: Tina Zamora)
• Set Up the Best Play School at Your Home! (Speaker: Sari Lee)

Aside from the talks, there will also be a special Q&A session with celebrity mom Say Alonzo.

The event is open only to parents of children ages three years and above. While bringing of kids ages three years and above is encouraged, it is strictly prohibited to bring younger children. Admission is at Php150, inclusive of a loot bag, access to the play area for the kids, and a chance to win at the raffle draw.

BGC Passionfest

This weekend, catch the yearly event BGC Passionfest, a celebration of Bonifacio Day. The event will feature exciting activities to be enjoyed by kids and grown-ups alike.

Bonifacio High Street will be transformed into the Passion Playground, which is divided into four blocks corresponding to each of the four elements—earth, water, wind, and fire. At the Fountain Fields, you’ll catch a water-themed show by The Mind Museum and contemporary dance canvas from the Katipunan Weekend Market. At the Air Avenue, enjoy bazaars, a bubble show, and jazz music by Ian Jacinto.

At Bright Boulevard, try out foods from the Gourmand Market and watch LED poi dancers. At Nature Lane, join free succulent workshops, visit a fresh ranch by Del Monte Philippines, and watch performances from Banda Kawayan.

On November 30, there will be a Run BGC event on 5^th Avenue and the first-ever Palarong Pinoy, where you can play popular Pinoy games. Finally, on December 1, enjoy a Coke Studio concert featuring St. Wolf, The Juans, and Sarah Geronimo at the Amphitheater.

BGC Passionfest is happening from November 30 to December 1, 2019 at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

Duyan: Cradling Diversity in the Expressive Arts

Duyan is the first international expressive arts symposium in the country where you can learn more about the expressive arts and how it can contribute to wellbeing. It is open to teachers, students, medical practitioners, parents, and everyone interested in art and psychology.

The symposium will open on November 30 with a panel discussion, plenary workshops, and discussions from national and international speakers. On December 1, there will be talks on the practice of the expressive arts and plenary workshops to be led by expressive arts therapy pioneer Dr. Paolo J. Knill and author Dr. Margo Fuchs Knill from Switzerland.

Admission is at Php8,000 (for two days) or Php5,000 (for one day).

McDonald’s Stripes Run 2019

This Sunday, join the McDonald’s Stripes Run 2019! This event supports the McDonald’s Read to Learn program, which aims to eradicate illiteracy among Filipino children and is open to all ages. Choose from different running categories:

• Kiddie Stripes (1K): Eight years old and below
• Young Stripes (3K): Eight to 15 years old
• 3K Stripes: 16 years old and above
• Family Stripes (3K): Two kids (15 years old and below) and two adults (16 years old and above)
• 5K Stripes: 16 years old and above
• Squad Stripes (5K): Four adults (16 years old and above)
