5 Baon Ideas for Kids You Can Do With 6 Ingredients or Less!
We've got the secret to yummy chicken bites.

We've given you list good for a whole school week of store-bought snacks (as recommended by a holistic nutrition coach). Alternate those with homemade recess baon too. Here are recipes that don't require too much work or ingredients (salt, pepper and cooking oil were not counted):
1. Chicken Popcorn (with gravy)
Instead of store-bought chicken nuggets, why not just make your own? You don't need much to make delicious chicken popcorn and even have gravy to go with it on the side. Your kiddo will love you for it!
3/4 cup flour
1/4 cup cornstarch
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 kilo chicken breast fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
2 medium eggs
Find recipe instructions at Yummy.ph.
Bonus: Here's an easy gravy recipe from Yummy.ph. “Heat butter in a small saucepan. Cook flour; mix until it turns brown and smells nutty, about 5 to 10 minutes. Gradually add chicken stock, stirring with a wire whisk. Be careful as the initial pour will create some smoke. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until slightly thickened. Serve with chicken.”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended VideosWhat other parents are reading
2. Barbecue Chicken Fried Rice
If you want something a little more filling for your active little learner, opt for a fried rice dish. This one takes no time at all to make especially if you've prepped the chicken and cooked the rice the night before. And, this one's baon that even dad will want to pack and bring to work!
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
4 cups rice, (cooked), cooled
1 1/2 cup chicken, grilled and cubed
2 tablespoons barbecue marinade
Recipe instructions are at Yummy.ph.
3. Banana Hazelnut French Toast Sandwich
The chocolate hazelnut spread acts as a dip to this cream cheese and banana sandwich. Pack just a little of the chocolate in a small container if you don't want your kiddo having too much sugar at school.
8 slices carrot bread
4 eggs, beaten with 2 cups hazelnut-flavored coffee creamer
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
1 225g cream cheese, softened
4 banana, diced

4. Chocolate Oat Balls
Bonding idea and baon prep in one? Yes, please! You can make this in the kitchen with your kiddo beforehand — the chocolate oat balls need chilling after they're rolled into balls.
2/3 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons desiccated coconut
2/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate
1 banana (lakatan)
1 1/2 tablespoons chia seeds or nuts
3 tablespoons grated zucchini
Recipe instructions are here (along with other recipes you can whip up with your little one).
5. Grilled Cheese Sticks
If you haven't made grilled cheese yet, now is the time to try it! They're loved by kids and, bonus for parents, they're really simple to make and need only a handful of ingredients. Slice the bread into smaller pieces so they're easier for your kiddo to eat at school.
3 slices white bread
2 slices cheddar cheese
2 teaspoon butter
