These may sound a little difficult and more time consuming than usual, but they are totally worth the effort! Here are a few recipes you can try: 

    1. Mango Float Freezer Cake

    This classic no-bake dessert is a sure crowd-pleaser. Plus since it's no-bake, you don't need an oven! If you haven't tried making this yet, this dessert needs at least three hours in the freezer so best take that into consideration if you're serving it at a party. 

    Makes 6 to 8 servings

    300 grams ladyfinger cookies (broas)
    1 tea bag earl grey tea
    2 cups hot water
    4 teaspoons white sugar
    lemon juice
    1 cup graham crackers crumbs, crushed
    100 grams butter
    1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream, whipped into stiff peaks
    4 large mango, cubed
    2 tablespoons coconut sugar

    Nachos make great finger-food for the family on a lazy weekend afternoon. This Pinoy version of the classic Mexican snack uses pork adobo and a few unexpected Filipino familiar flavors. You may be able to find all you need in your pantry already.

    Nothing beats hearing that crackle of crunchy pork skin as you bite into a piece of delicious roast pork belly. Everyone in the household, especially the kids and hubby, will shower you with thanks for making this! Serve with seasoned vinegar, lechon sauce or gravy on the side for dipping.

    Makes 10 servings

    2 kilos pork, use bone-in pork belly slab
    sea salt
    3 large carrot, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
    3 white onion, quartered
    3 stalks celery, sliced into 2-inch lengths
    6 bulbs lemongrass (tanglad), pounded
    2 cups vegetable oil
    2 cups canned applesauce, to serve

    7. Cheesy Sausage and Vegetable Lasagna

    There's a reason lasagna is so delicious -- it's a harmony of different flavors. The recipe above is the same, requiring quite a long list of ingredients, but it will be worth it!     12 sheets lasagna sheets, cooked according to package directions
    1 200-gram pack ricotta cheese
    2 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, (grated), mozzarella cheese
