If you’ve just recently moved to Las Vegas and are starting to feel the early signs of homesickness, Filipino food will be your best bet to fight it off. Las Vegas in Clark County, Nevada, has probably one of the highest concentrations of Filipinos, comprising more than half of the Asian-Americans living in and around the area, according to AP News.
All-time favorite Filipino restaurants in Las Vegas, Nevada
Southeast of Las Vegas is Henderson city, a great place to start navigating if you are craving for authentic Filipino food. The radius surrounding it has excellent (and exotic) selections of Filipino fare that you thought you’d never taste here again.
Here are recommendations of Filipino restaurants from a resident of Henderson who’s lived in the area for more than 10 years now.
1. Island Pacific Seafood
467 E Silverado Ranch Blvd, Southeast
Its website’s tagline reads: Island Pacific is a Filipino supermarket serving the Filipino community but also aspiring to promote Filipino food to the rest of the world. You can get all your Pinoy cravings here from chips and ice cream produced by the Philippines’ famous brands. Some branches have on-site kitchens with combo meals and party trays. For $6 you can have your rice with afritada, dinuguan, adobo and many more. If you don’t feel like driving all the way to the store, you can order your groceries and cooked meals online.
2. Fiesta Filipina Cuisine
2980 St Rose Pkwy, Anthem
This is a simple counter-serve restaurant that serves hearty Filipino fare — the kind that you crave all the time but would instead order or eat outside than cook from scratch at home. Crispy pata, halo-halo and lumpia, daing na bangus, dinuguan, kare-kare, beef caldereta, turon, paksiw na bangus, and yes, Filipino spaghetti are among the items you can order here. You can have ice-cold beer to go with any of these dishes, too! If it’s your birthday, you get a free meal. You can avail of an all-Filipino feast for special occasions as they accept caterings and reservations for dine-in.

2810 S Maryland Pkwy, Eastside
Any food establishment with the word Nanay attached to it has that instant promise of good cooking and comforting meals. Nanay Gloria’s is an eat-all-you-can buffet restaurant with a canteen-like set up that is just as Filipino as sinigang. Nothing can be more Pinoy here than seeing the chaos of pancit bihon, white rice, kare-kare, adobong pusit, and five other viands mixing in one large plate balancing on your hand.
4. Kusina ni Lorraine Filipino Fast Food and Asian Market
1850 E Serene Ave, Southeast
If you’re missing your sinangag with daing, pinakbet and fried fish, misua soup, and tocino, then this Filipino buffet restaurant will give you those perfect Pinoy pairings you used to eat back home. After a meal, you can also buy frozen fish and meat here as well as Filipino produce and ingredients for the entire week’s meals.
5. D’Pinoy Joint
7680 S Las Vegas Blvd, Southeast
It’s salu-salo time at this buffet place that features an array of Filipino fares served on banana leaves ala boodle fight. The only way to make the experience authentic is to dig in using your hands. Eating here kamayan style makes that daing na bangus, sisig, lumpia shanghai, and all sorts of fried and saucy delights magnify the spirit of home.
