This is what the author gives her kids when they’re constipated.

    What you’ll need:

    • prunes (seedless)
    • apples
    • water

    • Peel and remove core of apples
    • Cut prunes and apple into chunks
    • Puree the prunes and the apple in the blender or food processor and add water just enough to cover the prunes and apple

Stir and spoon feed to your baby in a small feeding bowl.

    Nutrition Note:

Prune juice by itself is good for constipation. It is a safe, gentle and an effective laxative. Prune juice contains the substance dihydrophenylisatin, which is responsible for the laxative action. Prunes are also high in iron and are a great supplement for those who are anemic or low on iron.
