Can you say kawaii? (That’s Japanese for cute.) One Instagram chef has taken to not just taking photos of the delicious dishes she makes but also of the most adorable donuts ever that she bakes herself.

Erina Akiyama is a Sydney-based chef and baker. She cooks for the ramen restaurant Sokyo. Her latest baking escapade, on the other hand, are decorated donuts. And, not just any kind of donuts, mind you; the adorable kind!

    What other parents are reading

She makes donuts of children's characters like Hello Kitty, Minions, Winnie the Pooh, Pikachu (from Pokemon), Mike Wazowski (Monsters, Inc.), Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro) and others. They come in different flavors sometimes depending on the character. Kerokerokeroppi, for example, is matcha flavored. She also has chocolate and green tea donuts among others

Her donuts had a limited run a while back. She’s not taking orders for them now as she’s busy with other baking projects (like kawaii pull-apart bread!), but she does say she’ll hopefully have the time for them again in February.

Scroll through her Instagram account at @eliseaki to see all of her work, because she doesn’t just do cute donuts. She also does equally cute breads and pastries. We’ve picked some of our favorites below:

Aside from the characters mentioned above, pictured here as well is Rilakkuma (the brown bear), Donald Duck, James "Sulley" P. Sullivan (from Monsters, Inc.), Daisy Duck and Kerokerokeroppi.

Look! It's Baymax (from Big Hero 6), Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Mei (My Neighbor Totoro). Ariel happens to be Akiyama's favorite Disney character.
