Extend The Life of Flowers With This Two-Step TrickKeep your Mother's Day bouquet vibrant for a few weeks more (or longer!)
So your partner and your kids got you that gorgeous gift of fresh beautiful flowers for Mother's Day. It's only natural that you'd want to preserve its beauty as long as you can. After all, it's a small but strong reminder that you are appreciated and loved just for being mom--and everything else that comes with that demanding and rewarding role.
For those who are fond of displaying fresh blooms around the home, you know the struggle of trying to keep them vibrant. While some florists offer preservative packets, these aren't usually enough to double the vase life of a bouquet.
Don't worry, aside from daily maintenance, you only need one thing to make cut flowers last longer--a can of hairspray.
Try this easy hack by following the guide below:

Take out the flowers from the vase to keep leaves from sticking to it. Spray the hairspray on the flowers from several inches away. Do not hold the can too close to the flowers as the force may damage the petals.
Hang the flowers upside down in a well-ventilated area until the hairspray dries. Arrange the flowers as you wish. RL Tip: Reapply a fresh coat of hairspray every few days or to keep the flowers looking pristine.
