Here’s a living, breathing gift you can give to your friends this Christmas or yourself! Plants are the easiest way to give your home a new look without a lot of effort on your part. With all your to-dos, these gorgeous, low maintenance houseplants can be your next stress-relievers. Emphasis on "low maintenance."
We’ve put together a list with the easiest (and most aesthetic) plants to take care of: minimal sun, water, and soil requirements. Even your most irresponsible friends can’t possibly kill these. And if they do, then that’s perhaps a sign you shouldn’t trust them with your kid? Or dog. Or goldfish.
These plants propagate easily despite its need for low light.
It is called a Prayer Plant because their leaves fold up at night like they are praying!
The Chinese Evergreen does not need a lot of watering but plant enthusiasts say it can purify the air of your home.
The Peace Lily (plant aficionados call it the drama queen for its giant leaves) is known as an air-filtering plant for the home.
You can place a Bird of Paradise plant in direct sunlight. It also bears a bright orange flower that resembles a bird in flight.
It is also referred to as a monster because of its holes! Avoid putting it where it gets strong direct sunlight.
This succulent, also popularly known as the lucky plant or money tree, can take three to four hours of direct sun through a window.
The extracts of the roots of this low-maintenance plant are said to be potential source of antioxidants.
When in full bloom, this plant's flowers are shaped like lit cigars thus the name. Warning: it can grow really tall!
Keep this in partial shade so you don't burn the beautiful polka dot leaves!
