Garlic is an indispensable ingredient in most dishes, as its distinct taste lends a delicious flavor to any recipe. However, as strong as its flavor is, so is its smell, which tends to linger in your hands for hours, or even days.
Many solutions have been offered to help remove the smell of garlic, such as rubbing a lemon slice or rock salt, or toothpaste on your hands. What we found works best, however, is using stainless steel, which is why there is even “stainless steel soap" available in the market for this purpose.
Can’t find one? Use a stainless spoon or a knife instead. With a little soap, make a lather, then rub the spoon all over your hands. Rinse thoroughly. The smell of garlic should be gone right after.
