  • Mommy Hack of the Week: How to Make an Improvised Food Box

    Just cut, fold, and tie!
  • So you went on a picnic with the family and found yourself having a few leftovers – maybe some of the corn on the cob, a few pieces of fried chicken, and an assortment of cupcakes. You want to send them home with your brother so his kids can enjoy them, but you don’t have enough plastic containers to use, or are just plain worried that your trusty Tupperware container won’t find its way back to you.

The solution? Using your regular paper plates, cut slits strategically on the paper plate (see photo), fold, secure with a scotch tape or a ribbon, and you have a sturdy makeshift box that will hold – at least until they get home. You can also make another one that will serve as the cover.
