Trending in Summit Network
We all know that Coleen Garcia is a beautiful, strong, and fierce mama to Amari Crawford, but it's only now that we have discovered one of the reasons why.
The actress and host recently shared photos of her grandmother, Syra Garcia, whom she fondly calls "Tata," to celebrate her 70th birthday.
However, the photos Coleen shared were not ordinary; they were taken during a boudoir photoshoot that her Tata wished to have.
She explained, "Tata wanted a boudoir shoot for her 70th birthday, and My Metro Photo made it happen!"
Coleen went on to greet her grandma, saying, "Happy 70th birthday to this badass woman! Thank you for teaching me—for continuing to teach me—what it is to be strong, confident, and empowered. I love you, and I will forever be grateful for everything!" She also expressed her gratitude to the amazing team behind the shoot.
The term "boudoir" originates from French and refers to a designated space where women could enjoy some private time. Boudoir photography has emerged as a popular trend in recent years, where it captures a sensual and intimate portrayal of the subject.
Celebrity parents couldn't help but admire Tata's photos. Isabelle Daza, Iya Villania, Katarina Rodriguez, and Iza Calzado, who champion health, fitness, and body positivity loved the snaps.
In the post, Syra recognized Coleen for her contribution, "Thanks to my director too, my granddaughter."
Even dad and news anchor Kim Atienza was left speechless, exclaiming, "OMG."
The Smart Parenting community on Facebook also found a new fitspiration in Syra, with moms saying, "How to be you po?"
Makeup artist Pong Niu shared the makeup transformation of Coleen's grandma.
On her Instagram account, Syra has been sharing her workout videos and showcasing how she lives her life with passion.
In her bio, she describes herself as "a fitness grandma of 10 and a great-grandma to 1."
She also shares an important advice that we all need to hear, saying, "You don't have to feel or look your age. Just be you."
Way to go, Tata! And happy birthday!
