Whatever made you who you are or brought you where you are now is irrelevant. What matters is what you make of yourself moving forward.
That's what Diego Garcia, 24, from Davao De Oro, embodies. He was born without lower limbs and missing a few fingers. But it didn't stop him from trying to live a 'normal' life.
That includes dancing and singing his heart our on Tiktok. He shared he was always fond of watching talented people perform. With the encouragement of people who support him, he joined the social media platform.
Diego took after his mother's courage and determination
According to one of his posts on Facebook, Diego's condition was allegedly caused by a certain type of contraceptive pills that his mother took. His mother didn't want more kids because she had a hard time raising her children alone.

Diego's mom and her doctor didn't know that she was already pregnant with Diego then. The result, at least his mother suspects it, is Diego's extremely rare congenital disorder called tetra-amelia syndrome. Still, she didn't give up.
He took after his mom's courage in overcoming the struggles he had when he was younger.
He admitted he was bullied, asked many questions about his life, and thought of himself as "pabigat." But today, he knows his worth and is content with his life.
