Some lovable police dogs kept readers company at the San Bernardino Public Library, in California, on March 1, ahead of the Read Across America initiative of the U.S. National Education Association (NEA) on March 2, 2018.
Read Across America is a nationwide celebration of reading, held on the birthday of iconic children’s author, Dr. Seuss. The library welcomed two large dogs, K9 Lupe and K9 Dozer, to keep kids company while they read books. Both the dogs and the children appeared to be enjoying the companionship.
