This Amazing Mom Breastfeeds and Does Yoga at the Same Time! This yogi mom is a picture of multitasking at its finest.by Rachel Perez .
Breastfeeding is a challenging task, just ask any mom who does (or at least tried) it. Nursing does get easier over time. But can you imagine breastfeeding your baby while doing yoga? Well, this mom does it like it’s a just another walk in the park.
It has only been two years since Carlee Benear, a stay-at-home mom to sons Milam, 5, Cale, 2, and daughter Maramaylee, 5 weeks old, started her yoga practice. It gave her a newfound confidence--and her two older kids helped in her yoga journey, too. "Along with the inspiration I have found through my yoga friends and seeing what is possible when so many think it is not, I have lost fear and doubt in myself, and my children have gained trust and confidence alongside me," Carlee wrote on Instagram before giving birth to her little girl.
The used-to-be clumsy mom of three from Texas has become a wonderful picture of fusing gravity and grace, and more importantly, strength and balance, when she’s doing yoga. Even at nine months pregnant, Carlee was doing headstands and tricky yoga poses that require immense concentration to pull off. Add two young boys to that equation and she becomes an undeniable proof that the mind and body is indeed powerful.CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
"Once my daughter was born, we were inseparable. After a few weeks of staring at her every move, I felt the urge to get back on my mat and step back into my practice with this fresh new joy surrounding me," Carlee told The Huffington Post UK. Since breastfeeding and caring for a newborn is a full-time job, she gradually brought her daughter with her on the mat--similar to moms who do post-natal exercises with their baby. "Once we started feeding and flowing, a spark ignited. We were connected again in harmony," the yogi mom added. Look and be amazed:ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
As an advanced yoga practitioner, Carlee says she puts never put her daughter's safety on the line. But she also played down the complexity of doing yoga while breastfeeding. Carlee says it appears difficult only to non-yogis because they don't fully understand how easy it is to achieve when you know what your body is capable of. "I hope you all find some inspiration in my practice and that it opens you to the world of possibilities your body has to offer you and your mind is waiting for," she says.
Her breastfeeding yoga is one definitive proof that women's bodies are simply amazing. As moms, you can do anything and everything you set your mind to. Just take it from this mom-of-three.
