  • Who says being old means being weak and helpless?

    Meet the most badass 78-year-old grandma ever. Her name is Shirley Webb, and she lifts weights like she's a competitive bodybuilder. In the clip above that we first spotted at Muscle and Fitness, she’s seen lifting 225-pound (!) deadlifts. 

    Two year ago, Shirley couldn’t even get up from the floor without help. She couldn’t climb the stairs without holding on to railings. But when she joined a gym with her granddaughter, she was able to lift as much as she does now in just six months with the help of a trainer.

    “She's gotten to the point where everybody greets her and is just absolutely impressed,” her trainer John Wright told ESPN. “She inspires everybody that goes to the gym, and it's fun to see that.” 

    Way to go, Grandma Webb!
