Becoming a mom means changing your priorities. Suddenly, there is nothing more important than your children's needs.
It doesn't matter if you've had your breakfast, as long as they have had theirs. It doesn't matter if you look (or smell) good, as long as they have had their baths. Their sleeping and eating patterns become so important to you, that you forget your own. You don't mind if you miss your favorite TV shows, as long as they get to watch theirs.
You've put away your fancy clothes, shoes, and bags, in favor of comfy clothes so you can keep up with your toddlers. You do not spend for yourself anymore, because your children's needs have become your top priority. You set aside your personal goals, because you believe your children's dreams are more important. You drink your coffee cold, just so your children can enjoy their meals warm.
You don't know it, but your children see you. Your children know how much you've changed for them. Your children know you will always put them first and for that, they couldn't be more grateful.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
