Many were surprised when actress Andi Eigenmann decided to move her life from Manila to Siargao Island and live with her partner, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo. But the mom of two has no regrets and even says she is happy about having made the right decision.
“Siargao allowed me to see the things that aren’t necessary to be happy,” she tells Summit Media in a video interview. “You don’t really need much to achieve [happiness].”
The island life has also been good to her daughters, Ellie, 8, and Lilo, 11 months old. Her youngest is a water baby and makes nature her playground. And despite the community quarantine in the country, they are still able to take Lilo to the beach for some fun in the sun.

“It’s much safer here at the moment and we are very blessed and we are really grateful that up to this day there are no confirmed cases in the island,” Andi shares.
Andi credits the amazing life they have on the island to her partner, Philmar. She said previously that she had picked the right partner to spend the rest of her life with, especially because Philmar takes care of Andi and her daughters so well. He’s even more hands-on than her!
“Nothing beats this life that we have because of you,” she says.
