  • Every year, birthdays and weddings get bigger and bigger. But grand parties are just the icing on the cake. What matters most is the love between the couple, saying their "I do's."

Roque and Ramelyn Tan from Iloilo were planning for a beach wedding, but the pandemic happened. Still, they didn't let it get in the way of their union.

"Dahil sa hirap ng buhay at pandemic, naisip namin na ituloy ang kasal kahit sa simpleng parran dahil para sa amin, ang maikasal ay isang blessing na po," Roque said.

Roque is a balut vendor, and Ramelyn is a housewife. It's special for Ramelyn to be married, not only because they already have a son, but as a woman.

Their simple wedding featured their livelihood as a theme

Instead of a beach wedding, they incorporated their livelihood into their wedding theme. Roque and Ramylyn's DIY prenuptial shoot featured balut and their balut cart.
