Dani Barretto may not be in the best of terms with her father Kier Legaspi (read here), who wasn't invited in Dani's wedding with Xavi Panlilio in 2019. But the content creator-entrepreneur remains close to her paternal grandmother Hershey Legaspi.
Dani took to Instagram on October 16, 2022 to pen a heartfelt message to Hershey, whom she calls Momsy and Mama.
"Happy Happy Birthday, my Momsy!" she wrote in the caption. "My Mama who continues to spoil me rotten until now.
Dani went on recalling their happy memories together. "My Mama who rushed from Laguna to Quezon City when I was 5 because I called her crying begging her to come to me just cause I missed her.
"My Mama who shows up in every school program. And bida bida ako sa lahat ng program nung bata ako ah! My Mama who still sends food here at home just because."

The mom of one continued honoring her grandmother: "I can’t thank you enough, Mama. Now its my turn to take care of you and spoil you rotten. Happy Birthday to one of my favorite people on earth!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!"
One of those who commented in Dani's post is her mother Marjorie Barretto, who broke up with Kier after Dani was born in 1993.
Marjorie wrote, "Happy Birthday Tita Hershey. I love you very much."

These included Hershey's children with her late husband, actor Lito Legaspi, namely Zoren, Brando, and Maggie. Their brother, also Dani's dad Kier, was conspicuously absent.

On the same day, Zoren posted a short video taken during the "simple yet full of fun and [3 red hearts]" celebration. He thanked his wife and fellow actor Carmina Villarroel, who came from work, and their twin kids Mavy and Cassy.
Zoren was similarly grateful to his siblings and nephew Dani, who came with Xavi, for showing their love for their Momsy.
