No family is perfect. That's one takeaway the Asia' Songbird said about the most-talked-about celebrity secret wedding last month. Regine Velasquez is just one of the celebrities who has been vocal about sharing pieces of advice to newlyweds Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli.
Regine and Sarah recently had a successful concert together, and they're both regulars on ABS-CBN's Sunday noontime show ASAP Natin 'To. The former revealed the Popstar Royalty sometimes asks her for relationship advice when things aren't going as smoothly as hoped.
“Ang pamilya mo kasi, pamilya mo, e. Hindi na natin iyon mae-erase," Regine said in an interview with ABS-CBN News. It's typical for family members to have misunderstandings, she added.
"Para kay Matteo, normal lang na minsan may hindi pagkakaintindihan sa in-laws. Normal iyon. Wala namang perfect talaga," Regine said. (For proof that not all in-law relationships are easy, read real-moms' stories here.)
“Ang importante, silang dalawa [ni Sarah]," Regine stressed. "'Pag silang dalawa nagkakaintindihan sila, everything else [follows],” emphasized singer-actress. Husbands and wives should put up a united front, making decisions for your family, and work towards the same goal.

Needless to say, Matteo's relationship with her mother-in-law started on the wrong foot.
Regine believes, however, that Sarah loves her mom and their family. She is optimistic that, in time, all will be okay with Matteo, Sarah, and their families, suggesting to everyone to pray that they all heal from this emotional event in their lives.
