Regine Velasquez On Dealing With In-Laws: Ang Importante Kayong Mag-asawa

No family is perfect. That's one takeaway the Asia' Songbird said about the most-talked-about celebrity secret wedding last month. Regine Velasquez is just one of the celebrities who has been vocal about sharing pieces of advice to newlyweds Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli.

Regine and Sarah recently had a successful concert together, and they're both regulars on ABS-CBN's Sunday noontime show ASAP Natin 'To. The former revealed the Popstar Royalty sometimes asks her for relationship advice when things aren't going as smoothly as hoped.

“Ang pamilya mo kasi, pamilya mo, e. Hindi na natin iyon mae-erase," Regine said in an interview with ABS-CBN News. It's typical for family members to have misunderstandings, she added.

“Ang importante, silang dalawa [ni Sarah]," Regine stressed. "'Pag silang dalawa nagkakaintindihan sila, everything else [follows],” emphasized singer-actress. Husbands and wives should put up a united front, making decisions for your family, and work towards the same goal.

Regine has been married to singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid for nearly ten years. They have one child together, Nate, 8. She's also a stepmom to Leila and Sarah, Ogie's kids from his previous marriage with Michelle Van Eimeren, former Miss Universe Australia. Regine and Michelle have a good relationship.

Sarah and Matteo have been together for six years. They& tied the knot last February 20, 2020.
