"Nagstart po kami, sinubukan namin instant coffee lang," said Johndoe Gallegos, one of the owners of the roadside coffee stand called Coffee Bros.
You can find them along Candaba Road in Pampanga. "Naging market namin 'yung sa may Candaba-Pampanga area. Maraming mga bikers doon, mga nagzu-Zumba, nagwo-workout."
"'Yung mga iba, kapag bumaba sa sasakyan, nagtatanong kung brewed ba o instant lang. 'Pag instant, aalis sila," Gallegos explained. "Ang hinahanap nila, 'yung brewed coffee talaga."
They are selling their brewed coffee for P30. Their initial investment was Php900. "'Yun pong mga beans namin originated [from] local farmers like Kalinga, Sagada, Benguet, Mt. Apo, Saka Barako from Batangas," owner Bill Lawrence Estacio said. All their beans are locally planted.
"Ngayon, nakapagdagdag kami ng dalawa from Mindanao—Mt. Apo at Kalamansig," the owners said.
The cart they use to showcase their brewed coffee has a quaint minimalist design. "Yung mga comments po sa Facebook group like 'yung Coffee Lovers Philippines, marami po 'yung na-inspire," the owners said.
They said a lot of people are already messaging them, telling them how inspiring their journey is. After all, they started their business with less than a thousand pesos.
