  • “Lakbayin natin ang EU” opens at Museo Pambata

Kids get a taste of Europe in a week-long children's festival called “Lakbayin Natin ang EU” (Journey to EU) to be held from May 10 to May 13 in Museo Pambata.
  • Europe“Lakbayin Natin ang EU” aims to celebrate Europe Month while imparting knowledge about the different European Union member countries to children. This year marks the third year of the celebration, which was created through the efforts of the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, Museo Pambata, and various partner organizations.
In this week-long program, kids from invited baranggays and children's welfare centers will enjoy participating in a variety of activities while learning more about the different countries of the European Union. These activities include storytelling, games, language and food demonstrations, and film viewing.
Participating in the program are embassies and organizations representing Spain, France, Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Italy, and Greece.
The highlight of the opening ceremony on May 10 will be an exhibit of various materials representing the EU member countries. To symbolize the friendship and coming together of the Philippines with the different EU nations, child artist Hamzah Marbella will paint while accompanied by a percussion band in a fusion of music and art.
For more information on the festival's activities, you may call Museo Pambata at 523-1797/98 and 536-0595, or send an e-mail to info@museopambata.org.
