BOBBING FOR APPLES Fill a shallow basin with water and set it on a table. Float a few apples (with stems for easy grasping) in the water. Players take turns fishing for an apple with their mouths, their hands kept behind their backs. You can use other fruits, but make sure that they are not small enough to swallow or choke on.
For less of a mess, you can also tie a string around the stems of the apples and hang them from a clothesline. Tips for Tots For younger children who have a hard time biting into apples, use donuts hung by a string instead.
