Couple Shares Momentous Birth of their Baby to Loved Ones Using an Apple WatchGadget helps couple reach out to distant relatives
There are times when words and photos are just not enough, and you need something more personal and sincere. This couple might have just found a way around that. They sent the heartbeat of their newborn baby to relatives who couldn’t be at the birth.
How did they do it? The Apple Watch.
The couple uploaded a video on Youtube of the father placing the Apple Watch Sport on their newborn who's barely a day old.
“Our first child was born and we used an Apple Watch Sport to send his heartbeat to our distant family members and it was a really awesome experience that we couldn’t have done without the Apple Watch,” read the video description.
The watch’s heart rate sensor’s main purpose is for measuring heartbeat rate when exercising but, as an added quirk, recorded heartbeats could also be sent to other people.
One person commented on the video saying, "Beautiful and the reason why the watch appeals to the general public.”
Do you agree? Would you buy this $300 (P13, 500) watch?
