The TV movie that featured Disney villains' kids is back for a sequel. The Descendants 2 movie follows villain kids Mal (daughter of Maleficent), Evie (daughter of the Evil Queen), Carlos (son of Cruella de Vil), and Jay (son of Jafar) as they try to fit in the idyllic town of Auradon after being released from the prison island, Isle of the Lost. With all the pressure to be royal and perfect, Mal cracks and returns to the prison island only to find Uma (daughter or Ursula), Harry (Captain Hook's son), and Gil (Gaston's son) have taken over their place as rulers. Prince Ben (son of Belle and Beast and Mal's love interest) thinks it's his fault that Mal is back in the prison island and tries to rescue her with the help of the other kids. Kenny Ortega, who directed the High School Musical movies and the first Descendants movie, is back at the helm. (deadline.com)
