Kuya Aki Has The Sweetest Words for Mom LJ Reyes About Baby SummerFor moms like LJ who had just given birth, it's a huge pick-me-up to hear encouraging words from family.by Rachel Perez .
The first few days and weeks after giving birth can be overwhelming for a mom, no matter how many times she has given birth. Moms need all the extra hands they can get, but nothing compares to words of encouragement and appreciation.
Just last night, LJ Reyes shared on Instagram what her 8-year-old son Aki told her. It was not clear if it happened during the first time the siblings met, but the mom of two couldn't ask for sweeter words from her son.
"Mom I knew you’re gonna be the best mom to Summer!" she captioned a photo of Summer's tiny hand grasping Aki's index finger. "And my heart melted," LJ shared. "Honestly, I know you will be the best ahya (kuya) to Summer!" she said of her son.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
All together now... "Awww."
It's not the first time LJ said that Aki is going to be an awesome big brother. He had been wanting and praying for a sibling since early last year, and couldn't believe it when LJ and her partner Paolo Contis broke the pregnancy news to him on August 2018. Before the year ended, LJ even penned an open letter to her son.
"Thank you for teaching me how to be a tough yet loving mother. I have learned so much from you, and I am so blessed to have you." LJ wrote. "Thank you for bringing so much joy into my life! Thank you for showing me how to be happy and free even in the midst of trials and hardships! You have been my inspiration my love!" she added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
She also promised him more adventures this year, and being a big brother is undoubtedly one of them.
It's only been nearly a week since LJ gave birth to Summer Ayanna, her first child with Paolo. The mom and baby are doing great and are already home, but the new parents have not released a photo of the newborn yet.
In an interview with GMA News last Tuesday, January 8, Paolo explained that he and LJ want to keep Summer's face private for a little while longer, but said they will share her photo to the public eventually. Only family members who have visited have seen Summer so far.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
"Alam mo 'yung... matagal mo siyang hinintay eh, ayoko pa siyang i-share. Kahit si LJ nga eh," Paolo quipped, adding that the actress also suggested that they delay sharing their daughter's photo.
Paolo already declared that Summer has her mom's looks.
LJ gave birth via vaginal delivery, and everything went smoothly. "Up to the last minute, before the final na kailangan na niyang mag-push, it was fun with the doctors. Masaya," Paolo shared. The new dad assured everyone that LJ is "tired but very happy and healthy also."ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
So far, their newborn daughter Summer has been an easy baby, says Paolo, although she keeps them awake some nights, too. But instead of dreading lack of sleep, Paolo is embracing the sleepless nights. "Na-miss ko 'yung puyat, walang tulog. Na-miss ko 'yung 'Uha!' ng bata," Paolo shared. "Touching a very fragile baby, very touching, sobra," he added.
