Alex Gonzaga, Mikee Morada Welcome First Child, a Baby Boy

Alex Gonzaga and Mikee Morada are celebrating a much-anticipated new season of their lives. The couple has welcomed their first child, a baby boy, Alex’s mom, Mommy Pinty, confirmed to PEP.ph. The family has yet to reveal the baby’s birth date and other details surrounding the delivery.

The internet went crazy when Alex announced her pregnancy in May 2026. A lot of netizens expressed their heartfelt happiness for the couple, as their trying-to-conceive journey was not a secret to many. 

“After almost six years of marriage and 3 heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord. While preparing for IVF, the Lord Jesus blessed us with a natural pregnancy,” Alex shared in May 2026.

Alex and her husband, Lipa Vice Mayor Mikee Morada, have been open about their journey in her vlogs over the years. The couple went through three pregnancy losses before welcoming their first child.

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, Mikee shared, “The first one, hindi ko naisip na posible pala na magkaroon ng miscarriage. Kasi nakikita mo sa iba na nabubuntis tapos tumutuloy. Tapos yung sa amin, hindi. The second one, IVF. We wanted to try ulit. Nakita ko rin sa kanya yung shift ng emotions, yung masaya, nag-aabang-abang ka, tapos biglang mawawala. Lalo na sa IVF, nakita ko lahat. Injections, ilang punta, ilang trabaho na hindi matutuloy dahil may check up. Sacrifice talaga.”

He also shared, “Minsan kasi sinisisi niya ang sarili niya (sa miscarriage). At the end of the day, lagi kong sinasabi: biyayaan man tayo o hindi, tayong dalawa lang ang magkasama, okay lang. Kaya ang prayer natin is to surrender, and we accept kung anong ipagkaloob sa atin. On a positive note, sabi ko sa kanya, ilang years pa lang tayong kasal, tatlong beses na tayong nabuntis.” The said interview was shared in Toni Talk’s YouTube page, right after their third pregnancy loss.

That’s why Alex’s pregnancy announcement was such a joyful surprise for those who followed the couple’s journey.

“We want to thank everyone who prayed with us, hoped with us, and supported us through this journey to becoming parents. By God’s grace, our prayers have been answered, and we are finally going to be mommy and daddy,” Alex continued.

Celebrity friend and mom of three, Isabelle Daza, jokingly wrote in the comments section, “Sabi ko na eh, your ilong!”

After the announcement, Alex continued to share snippets of her pregnancy journey. In her vlogs and social media posts, she was making fun of her namamagang ilong, dark underarms, and the many physical changes that came with pregnancy. Her sister, Toni, also organized a Ralph Lauren-themed baby shower for her, together with their family and closest friend.

In another Instagram reel showing the behind-the-scenes of her maternity photoshoot, she wrote, “Busy si mommy, nagmamaganda habang namamaga.”

Behind the funny anecdotes about pregnancy, Alex also shared the bittersweet emotions she felt as her due date grew closer. Along with her maternity photos, she wrote, “I’ll miss carrying you inside my tummy, my baby. It was like having our own little world. 😭🤍”

Alex embraced and enjoyed her pregnancy, and as she described it in a separate vlog, “Iyak akong iyak, kasi mamimiss ko yung pregnancy ko. Kasi feeling ko mawawala na yung physical connection namin. Kasi ngayon, nakaasa siya sa akin. Pakiramdam ko, end of an era yung panganganak. Bago ako pumasok sa bagong season.”
