  • Andi Eigenmann and Jake Ejercito reach agreement on daughter

Speaking to Pep.ph, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio said the parents of Ellie Eigenmann had reached a settlement agreement on their daughter's custody. "Sa pagkakataong ito ay matagumpay naman ang ginawa po ni Judge Sulit, sapagkat happy po, masaya po ang bawat panig sa kinahinatnan nito pong pag-uusap at pagkakasundo.” Atty. Topacio added that the meeting went smoothly as the two parties talked in a civil manner and without arguments. The agreement, which Jake and Andi will sign on July 24 for formality, took effect immediately.

“Magiging bahagi na talaga si Jake ng buhay ni Ellie, at wala na pong magiging question na siya nga ba ang ama ni Ellie. Both parties ay acknowledged na po yun,” Atty. Topacio added. The talk between Andi and Jake also included details on child support from Jake, which he said is a non-issue, and on Jake and Andi’s rights as father and mother to Ellie. “I’m very happy for Ellie na mawala na po ang lahat ng friction,” he added. "Whatever makes her happy in the future, when she knows already what she wants, then we’ll support it,” the host and former radio disc jockey said in an interview on ANC's Headstart. “But for now, if you ask me if she’s gonna be an artista, no, from my point of view." Andi's daughter, Olivia, is one of the most-followed celebrity kids on Instagram, with more than half a million followers and another 30,000 on YouTube. She and husband GP Reyes only wanted to document their daughter's life when they began sharing her photos on Instagram. “I think once you’re very truthful to yourself and you’re not plastic, people want to relate with you as well. I think people start following you," said Andi, who was on the "Top Parenting Influencer" list according to Influence Asia 2017, the region’s largest social media awards show. (abs-cbn.com)

People can now see historically important furniture, artwork, and memorabilia from the collections of The Presidential Museum and Library and private collections on loan to the museum. With the help of Google Arts and Culture, Google Street View technology was used to provide 360° virtual views of the museum: about the history of the Philippine presidents and the presidential palace. Then, it was adapted into a more mobile, smaller version, affectionately calling the museum view capturing device “The Trolley.” The Trolley has collected images and footage not only from the inside of Malacañang but also from more than 1,000 museums here and abroad. The virtual tour and exhibit of the Presidential Museum and Library are online or via the Google Arts and Culture mobile app on iOS and Android. (gmanetwork.com)

Canadian baby has a health care card but no gender
Baby Searyl Atli Doty from British Columbia, in Canada, was born at home in November, but for now, the baby has no gender. The mother, Kori Doty, believes that her child should be able to determine his or her gender later in life. "I'm raising Searyl in such a way that until they have the sense of self and command of vocabulary to tell me who they are, Doty told CBC News. "I'm recognizing them as a baby and trying to give them all the love and support to be the most whole person that they can be outside of the restrictions that come with the boy box and the girl box," she added. The local government has already issued a health care card without a specified gender for Baby Searyl. It had the letter U for gender, which possibly stands for “undetermined” or “unassigned.” The parents are currently fighting for the baby’s birth certificate to have the same non-gender classification. France has made 11 vaccinations mandatory for kids
French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe announced the expansion of the number of mandatory vaccines for all French children. Aside from the current mandatory vaccines -- diphtheria, tetanus, and poliomyelitis -- the new law includes pertussis, measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, Haemophilus influenza bacteria, pneumococcus, and meningococcus C, starting in 2018. Earlier this year, France was hit by a measles outbreak, which was a factor in prioritizing vaccinations for children. In Australia, unvaccinated kids are not allowed in childcare and preschool centers, while Italy will fine parents, whose children are not vaccinated against 12 common illnesses by age 6. (popsugar.com)
