Andi Eigenmann Surfs Again; Says Her Postpartum Body 'Still Feels Sort of Broken'Andi Eigenmann’s postpartum body is still a work in progress, and she’s okay with it.by Rachel Perez .
Getting back your pre-pregnant body is a challenge, and it can be a long work-in-progress. But it doesn’t mean you can’t go back doing the things you love before you became a mom.
“I have been surfing again!” the new mom shared on Instagram with a photo of her back in the water. It’s been roughly around two and a half months since Andi gave birth via C-section to her second daughter, Lilo Alipayo, on July 23, 2019.
Andi has been documenting her body’s transformation since Day 1 after giving birth. Six weeks since, she has adopted a holistic postpartum fitness program that involves proper exercise and a healthy diet. But her fitspiration is no one but herself.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“Still not as strong as I thought I would be, albeit the daily exercise,” Andi shared. “I feel like I am back to basics with my stiff arms and abs buried underneath the remaining pregnancy weight,” she added.CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended VideosADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
The minor setback did not hamper Andi’s love for surfing. It didn’t stop her from going back to enjoy the waves. “Because your skills don’t have to be at an extreme to get that stoked feeling, to give you life. You could wipeout endlessly and still want to do it all over again,” the mom of two explained.
Andi is happy to be back to square one and learn the sport all over again “because the way surfing makes me feel would always be worth it,” she added.
The mom of two fell in love with surfing even before moving to her island home, in Siargao. She loved it so much that she continued surfing even at six months pregnant with Lilo. It was her choice of exercise with permission from her doctor and guidance from her partner, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
