A child will always remain her parent’s baby no matter how big she grows. Seeing your child slowly reaching milestone after milestone is a proud moment, but it’s always bittersweet.
Mom of two Andi Manzano-Reyes felt the same recently, as she watched her firstborn daughter Olivia — a picture of excitement — get ready for her first day in a big school.
“To be honest I don’t know how to feel. I always thought of this moment and yet here we are,” she captioned a series of photos of her 4-year-old wearing her school uniform. (Read about Andi's birthing story with Olivia here.)
“I am so proud of you, Oli. You were so excited to wear your uniform that when we bought it you didn’t remove it until we got home cause you wanted to show dad. You bugged me the whole week to buy you black shoes,” Andi wrote.

In the photos, Olivia can be seen checking her reflection in the mirror while in her school uniform. It also seemed like Olivia has had time to explore her new school prior to her first day as there are photos of her on the school grounds and on the field.

The radio jock also recalled how very excited Olivia was on the first day of school.
“You even woke up extra early to fix your bags and pack your baon. I could see the excitement in your eyes when I dropped you,” she wrote.
Understandably, Andi felt sentimental about this new chapter in their lives.

“I love you Oli. This is it! A new chapter, a new adventure. The world is yours, take it my love. Love, mom.”
She added, “— Runs to a corner and cries,” to indicate how she feels about it all, and any parent can relate for sure!
