  • Angel Locsin has put up the Department Of Education Division of Occidental Mindoro’s apology statement on her Instagram and Facebook pages, saying she wasn’t planning to comment at first.

“I don’t mind the insults. Cheap comments do not define who I am.”

But after reading DepEd’s statement, she said she felt compelled to react. At the end of her post, she said, “Will delete later,” although netizens responded by saying she should not.

In case you missed it, a learning module body-shaming the actress went viral on social media. We wrote about it yesterday, November 14, 2020, which you can read here. (Our opinion: It’s a lesson on the opposite of empathy.)

“This is the more relevant issue deped, that you should be held accountable and must correct. Sa inyo naka salalay ang pag asa ng ating milyon milyong kabataan.

“The said teacher should apologize to his students and all the students that read the module.

“I am fortunate that I had teachers who value good manners and right conduct. Every child deserves to have teachers like them.”

DepEd did not name Angel in its apology below.
