'It's A Boy!' Vice Ganda Hosts Gender Reveal Party For Angeline Quinto

Angeline Quinto and her non-showbiz partner will soon welcome a baby boy!

The singer had a gender reveal party last December 2021, hosted by her good friend in show business, Vice Ganda. Moments from the intimate party was shared via Vice Ganda's vlog uploaded on Youtube this January 31, 2022.

In the video, Angeline first shared her pregnancy news to Vice Ganda's mother. "Wala na rin naman ang Mama Bob ko so, gusto kong i-share sa inyo 'yung napaka-espesyal na regalo sa akin dahil magkakaroon na po kayo ng apo sa akin," Angeline tells Mommy Rosario. 

Mommy Rosario took the news in disbelief telling Angeline, "Maniwala ako sa iyo." To convince Vice Ganda's mom, they proceeded with the gender reveal party. Before opening the giant box, which will tell the gender of Angeline's panganay, they asked the guests what their hunch was.

Almost everyone guessed baby girl, including Angeline herself saying, "Personally, gusto ko babae. kasi gusto ko ngang maipangalan kay Mama Bob." Mama Bob is Angeline's adoptive mother who passed away last 2020.

In her vlog, Angeline said that if she's having a baby girl, she's hoping to name the child after her Mama Bob whose realy name is Sylvia and her idol in singing, Regine Velasquez. "Sylvia Regina or Regina Sylvia. Ang ganda di ba. Parang ang sarap-sarap lang pakinggan," she shared.

Angeline's firstborn is a boy!

Blue balloons flew out of the giant box, indicating that Angeline is expecting a baby boy. Vice Ganda's house, the party's venue, was immediately filled with excitement shrieks following the reveal.

Although it was not the gender she hoped for, the soon-to-be mom still can't help but be happy knowing her firstborn's gender.

"Masaya pa rin ako, masayang-masaya ako pero hindi ko inexpect na lalaki. Ang buong pag-aakala ko babae talaga kasi," Angeline shared.

"Sa ngayon pa lang naman 'yan," Vice Ganda initially quipped and made the guests laugh.

But on a more serious note, the comedian adds, "Ngayon pa lang naman 'yan pinapangunahan natin siya pero eventually 'yung anak mo naman magde-decide kung ano siya."

Angeline agrees and says, "Kaya nga! Kung ano man  gusto niya."

Asked for her wish for her son, Angeline says she hopes to care for her child the way her Mama Bob cared for her: "Siguro kung pano si Mama Bob sakin nung sanggol ako. 'Yung talagang sinecure ako ng Mama Bob na kahit anong mangyari hindi pababayaan 'yung anak."

The 32-year-old singer also hints at her baby's name, which still is after her Mama Bob. Dedicating a message, Angeline called her baby "Bobby." "Bobby, mahal na mahal ka ng nanay mo," the singer said.
