In case you missed it, Assunta de Rossi gave birth to her first baby on Saturday, October 23, 2020. When her daughter was still in her womb, she called her by her nickname, Fiore. It turns out she is named after four family members.

The Filipina-Italian actress introduced her newborn daughter Fiore on her Instagram on Sunday, October 25, 2020. In her caption, the new mother tells the story behind Fiore's full name, which is Giulia Fiorentina Alessandra.
The first two names is a tribute to her great-grandparents on the paternal side of the family. Giulia, as Assunta wrote, is pronounced just like Julia. The Italian alphabet doesn't have a letter J, so it is spelled with "Gi." The name is "a tribute to her paternal great-grandfather, Don Julio."

The actress also posts a photo of "Lola Puring and Don Julio."
As for Alessandra, the name is indeed a tribute to her sister, actress Alessandra de Rossi. It is also a homage to their "Lola Alejandra a.k..a Inang." Plus, Assunta likes the meaning of the name Alessandra, which is "defender/protector."

Assunta and husband Jules Ledesma have been married for 18 years. They've tried and failed at one in vitro fertilization (IVF) attempt. Before they could try IVF a second time, the actress got pregnant naturally despite having myoma and endometriosis.
The couple are also parents to Jules' two grownup kids, Cristina and Carlos, with his late wife who died in 2000.
