After being hounded by rumors for years, actor Bugoy Cariño finally admitted that he has a daughter with his long-time girlfriend, volleyball player EJ Laure.
In an Instagram post to mark his 18th birthday last September 3, the former Goin’ Bulilit star shared a family photo with the 23-year-old volleyball player and their 2-year-old daughter, Scarlet. His caption read, “Happy birthday to me! Happy to have a family na mahal na mahal ako. Pagsisikapan ko pong itaguyod ang blessing na ito. Thank you for your unending support and I love you both, Mommy EJ and Baby Scarlet!”
EJ also posted a video on Instagram to greet Bugoy on his birthday, showing various clips of the actor with their daughter. “Happy birthday, Mahal,” she writes in the caption. “Thank you sa lahat ng ginawa at ginagawa mo para sa amin ni baby @iamscarletcarino! We love you so much, daddy!”

The former UST captain skipped two playing years in the UAAP and came back in 2019.
Bugoy also denied the rumors after it was reported that he was suspended indefinitely as a member of the boy group Hashtags and from ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show, It’s Showtime.
